Powered Pallet Truck Training

Duration: Half day (Max 6 trainees)

Venue: Customers premises

Certification: Renewables Academy (valid for 3 years)

This course is designed to provide trainees with the skills needed to safely operate a variety of powered pallet trucks as per customers requirements

The objectives of the course are such that, on completion, delegates will be able to:

Inspect the pallet truck for damage and faults prior to use
Assess loads correctly before picking up and transporting them
Know and understand the safe code of practice for use of powered pallet trucks
Pick up, transport and deposit a load safely and efficiently with a powered pallet truck

Theory element will include multimedia supplemented by video/power point and hand-outs
Multiple choice theory test with 80% pass mark
Practical element will include pre-use inspection and recording keeping.
The practical test will include working with a powered pallet truck – picking up, transporting and depositing a selection of loads typical to the specific work environment
Renewables Academy certificates will be awarded to successful candidates on completion of the Powered Pallet Truck Training course
