Forklift Operator (Counterbalance/Reach)
Our RTITB forklift operator training course is delivered at our Wexford Training Centre, which has excellent training room facilities and a purpose built warehouse for the practical elements of the training. Course duration is dependent on the number of trainees and their level of skill/experience. Typically 3 qualified operators undertaking refresher training would be completed in 1 day. Beginners or candidates with less experience or gaps in their work history will need more training in order to successfully complete the required elements, see below for more details
This 3-day course is designed for operators starting out and includes everything from legislative requirements, code of practice, capacity/stability load assessment and more. Accident reports and examples from the real world are incorporated to make it an interesting and informative experience.
Ample time for practice of the required elements is always allowed and our very experienced instructors strive for excellence in all areas while guiding you safely through.
A 2-day course for those who have some experience but may not hold a certificate.
If you have used a forklift before but were never trained then this course is for you.
Our instructors are expert in assessing your level of skill and judgement, finding the right balance to help you achieve your full potential as an operator.
This will depend on the level of skill and experience of individual trainees but will always include,
Safety legislation, code of practice for the safe operation of lift trucks, inspection prior to use and theory and practical tests. We make every effort to work with our trainees to achieve top results and recently had a trainee attend the “operator of the year” competition in Birmingham.
Refresher candidates are required to provide current /recent qualifications prior to training.
All of our instructors are RTITB certified and have impressive industry experience.
